Curtis Anderson, MD, PhD
Dr. Curtis Anderson is Board-Certified and Fellowship trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Premier Vascular and Interventional. He specializes in image guided, minimally invasive outpatient treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, including prostate artery embolization — a procedure he was the first physician in the state of Virginia to perform. His residency work at the University of Virginia Medical Center centered on imaging devices used to study vascular disease.

More about Dr. Anderson
Dr. Anderson completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University before earning both his Medical Degree and a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Miami. He completed his Radiology residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where he also finished his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. During residency he contributed to the development and evaluation of imaging devices used to better characterize vascular disease, and became the first physician in the state of Virginia to perform a prostate artery embolization to treat an enlarged prostate. He is board certified in both Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology, and carries that research background into the minimally invasive, image guided care he provides in the outpatient setting.
During his fellowship training at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Dr. Anderson developed a focus on prostate artery embolization PAE, performing the first case in the state of Virginia. That experience strengthens the PAE program at Premier Vascular, one of the leading practices for the procedure in South Florida.
His research background shapes how he approaches complex cases. Working on the development and evaluation of imaging devices used to study vascular disease gave him a detailed understanding of how disease is visualized and measured — an advantage when planning and guiding minimally invasive, image guided procedures.
